then add or subtract column-wise.

example 1: Find the sum:
(a) 165 L 240 mL, 106 L 325 mL and 268 L 15 mL

(b) 50 kL 42 L 950 mL and 18 kL 20 L 75 mL

How much water is there in both the containers?
