Representing time in hours and minutes
Gyan reached school at 27 minutes past 7. We can say that Gyan reached school at
7:27 a.m. While writing time, we separate hours and minutes using ‘:’.
Time can be read and written in different ways. Math Insight
We can read and write it as We use the word ‘to’ to show that it is
before a certain time and the word ‘past’
7:27 = Seven twenty-seven to show that it is after a certain time.
7:27 = Twenty-seven past seven
