Gamified Learning Collaborative Learning Experiential Learning
Objective: To reinforce the concept of formation of the greatest and the smallest
numbers and finding their actual and estimated sums and differences.
Materials required: A dice, paper and pencil.
Procedure:
Divide the class into groups of 5-6 students.
Invite the groups one by one to perform the activity.
Each member of a group should have his/her own dice.
All members of the group will roll their dice together and note down the top
number (digits) of each dice.
The group will form the greatest and smallest 6-digit numbers using those
digits.
Find the sum and difference of the numbers obtained.
Also, find the estimated sum and difference of the numbers obtained by
rounding off to the nearest suitable place.
Observe the difference between the actual and estimated sum or difference.
Repeat this activity with other groups till time permits.
