                1.  Divide the following using a multiplication table.

              Division


              We know that when something is distributed equally, we say that it has been divided.
              The symbol for division is ÷.

              Terms related to division are as follows:

                     Š The number which is to be divided is called the dividend.

                     Š The number by which the dividend is divided is called the divisor.

                     Š The result of division is called the quotient.
                     Š The number left over after the division is called the remainder.


                                  The number of times the divisor is contained in the dividend.

              1.  Division by 1: When a number is divided by 1, the quotient is the number itself.
