                                   Learning by Doing





              Objective: To make a shape pattern on the geoboard.

              Materials Required: Rubber bands and geoboard

              Procedure:

                     Š Divide the class into groups of
                      2-3 students.

                     Š Each group will take the

                      required materials.

                     Š One member will first take
                      a rubber band and make a
                      shape, say a square.

                     Š Next the second member will

                      take a rubber band and make
                      another shape, say a rectangle

                      just after the square.

                     Š Similarly, the third member will make a triangle next to the rectangle.

                     Š Again, the members will repeat the steps and add fourth, fifth, … shapes to
                      continue the pattern.
