Eva is making a card for their parents on the occasion of their wedding anniversary.

For this, she takes a sheet of paper and first folds it into half. Next she marks a curve and

cuts out a piece. When she opens it, she gets a heart shape as shown here.

She also needed an envelope, so she drew

an outline on a sheet of paper and cut it out
along the boundary, as shown here.

Then, she folds and fixes the triangular flaps.

              Now, her envelope is ready.

She writes the wishes on the card, decorates and keeps it into the
              envelope.
                                                                                                              Line of
In Eva's work, we have noticed that the figures or shapes used are symmetry

Such figures, which can be divided into two exactly identical parts are

said to be symmetrical about the dividing line.

The dividing line is called the line of symmetry.
Identifying Symmetrical Figures using a mirror

Take a triangular, rectangular and a circular

piece of paper and fold them into halves.

Cut them along the line of symmetry.
