Observe the pictograph and answer the following questions:
                    (a) How many orange trees are there in the orchard?

                    (b) What is the total number of fruit-trees in the orchard?
                    (c) How many more apple trees are there than mango trees?

                    (d) The number of which two type of trees together is equal to the number of
                        guava trees in the orchard?

              Bar Graph

Bar graph is another way of representation of data. Representation of data with the
help of bars (rectangles) in a diagram is called a bar graph or bar chart.
              Every bar graph has:

                    (a) a title explaining the information given in the graph.

                    (b) the horizontal and vertical axes.
                    (c) the labels explaining the meaning of each bar.
                    (d) the scale that is chosen for given data.

A bar graph can be drawn horizontally or vertically using graph paper, ruler and
pencil. The width of each bar is uniform. The bars are drawn leaving equal space
              (gap) between them.

Riya’s marks obtained in the unit tests in different subjects in the month of August
are given in the following table.

Subjects Hindi English Maths EVS GK
               Marks 7 8 6 9 8

The bar graph drawn alongside Y Riya’s Marks obtained in the unit tests
represents marks obtained by Riya in 10

              the unit tests. 9
In this bar graph, we observe that: 8
