                2.   There are 12 notebooks of the same kind. If the total number of pages in them

                4.   There are 690 balls in  30 boxes. Find the  number of balls in  each box, if  each

                    box has same number of balls.

                5.   Divide the greatest 4-digit number by the greatest 2-digit number. Do you get a
                    remainder?

                6.   3657 chairs have to be arranged equally in 80 rows. Find the number of chairs

                    in each row. How many chairs will be left?

                7.   The library has 4008 books to be placed on 24 shelves equally. How many books

                    will be placed on each shelf?

                8.   Gyan  had  `56,488.  About  what  amount  did  Gyan  have, if  he  gave half  of it  to
                    Suhana? Estimate the amount left with him.

                9.  A shopkeeper sold 255 dozen notebooks in one month and 325 dozen notebooks

                    in the second month. In which month did he sell more notebooks and by how

                    many?

               10.  Mrs Raghav had 235 apples, 184 pears and 122 oranges. She made mixed fruit
                    baskets by keeping 25 fruits in each basket. How many baskets could she make?

                    How many fruits were left over?

               11.  Frame a word problem for each of the following number sentences.

                    (a)  41257 + 2000 = 43257                        (b)  9999 + 6241 = 16240

                    (c)  5874 – 4000 = 1874                          (d)  80700 – 23450 = 57250
