              SYMMETRY ALL AROUND US

We know that a figure or a shape is said to be symmetrical, if it can be divided into two
identical parts by an a imaginary line. This phenomenon is called symmetry.

The imaginary line is known as the line of symmetry.

We can see many symmetrical objects in our daily-life. Observe the following.

In the given figures, a line is dividing the figures into two equal halves. This line is called

              line of symmetry.

              LINE OF SYMMETRY

An imaginary line which divides an object or a figure into two identical halves is called a
              line of symmetry.
