              CONVERTING DECIMALS INTO PERCENTAGE

To convert decimal into per cent, we multiply by 100 and put % symbol.

Example: Convert the following per cents into decimals.
                    (a) 0.5 (b) 0.84 (c) 1.8 (d) 1.23

              Solution: (a) 0.5 = (0.5 × 100)% = 50%
                                                                                               Remember
                            (b) 0.84 = (0.84 × 100)% = 84% To convert per cent into

                            (c) 1.8 = (1.8 × 100)% = 180% decimal, Shift the decimal

                    (b) What percentage of the whole grid is unshaded?

% of the grid is unshaded.
                2. Represent each percentage as the shaded part in each grid.
