Objective: To get plane shapes from solid shapes.
Materials Required: Pencil box, water bottle, dice, cut-outs of traffic signs
and sheets of paper
Procedure:
Take a sheet of paper and put one of the above solids, say
pencil box on it.
Draw the outline of the pencil box along its side.
What shape do you get? Rectangle.
In the same way, place other solids one-by-one on different
sheets of paper and trace the outlines of the base of these objects.
Record your observation as given below.
