                                   Learning by Doing





              Objective: To revise multiplication tables and multiplication facts.

              Materials Required: Multiplication question cards as below:

                               5 × 4      4 × 2       2 + 2+ 2

              Answer sheet as        20  ,   8  ,   6   and pencils.

              Procedure:

                     Š Keep the question cards around the room to

                      make different “question stations.”

                     Š  Divide the class into small groups and give
                      each group an answer sheet.

                     Š Each group starts from a different station and

                      searches the question card as per their answer
                      sheet.

                     Š Each group moves and searches the question card.

                     Š The game ends when all the groups arrive at their original position.

                     Š The group that got the most correct answers will be the winner.






                      Brain Sizzlers

                  1.  How many pencils are there in 6 groups of 3 each?
                  2.  How many sides are there in 10 triangles?
                  3.   If you need 8 buttons to make one flower, how many buttons will you need
                      to make 5 such flowers?

                  4.   There  is  a  counting  number  which  when  added  to  itself  or  multiplied  by
                      itself gives the same result. Can you tell the number?




                     Life Skill

                 A florist is making garlands using 10 flowers each.
                 Help her by making 2 garlands. How many flowers
                 do you need?
