Using Body parts
Long ago people used their body parts such as fingers, handspans, cubits, feet, etc.
to measure lengths of objects.

Inaya and Ishan are placing their handspans
along the stick to measure its length.
Inaya: Length of the stick is 5 handspans.
Ishan: Length of the stick is 7 handspans.
Think! Why are they measuring different
number of handspans?
For correct measurement, we always use the Inaya Ishan
