Look at the picture. This is a clock. It tells us the time. 11 12 1

The face of the clock is called its dial. 9 10 2 3 minute hand

There are twelve numbers (1 to 12) on the face of a 8 7 6 5 4
clock. Each number represents one hour.

A clock has two hands. The shorter hand is called the hour hand. The longer hand

is called the minute hand.
Always use two dots (:)
When the minute hand points to 12, the hour 11 12 1 to write time.

The hour hand is at 4.

So, the time is 4 o’clock or 4:00.
