Objective: To reinforce the skill of sorting out the data and drawing
logical conclusions.
Materials Required: Notebook and pencil
Procedure:
The students will play the game – ‘Name a Person, Place, Thing and an Animal’.
The teacher will announce a particular letter of the English alphabet.
Within the limited predefined time frame (1 min), the students will be required
to write the name of a person, a place, a thing and an animal starting with
that particular letter.
The teacher will then ask the students their answers and tabulate the most
common name of a person/ place/ thing and an animal that begins with the
particular letter.
Brain Sizzlers
Aruna has collected a number of buttons from old
clothes. She wants to sort these buttons. Would
you like to help her in sorting? If yes, make groups.
Why did you make such groups?
Can you also group these buttons in different ways? How?
Life Skills
Observe your parents how they arrange household items in cupboards,
shelves, kitchen, refrigerator, etc. Help them in sorting things at home, office or
workplace when you have holidays.
