                                   Learning by Doing

Objective: To revise multiplication tables and multiplication facts.

Materials required: One thick chart paper, sketch pens, a pair of
              scissors, stapler with pins
              Procedure:

Š Students will perform this activity individually.

Š Divide the chart paper into two equal halves.

Š Take one of these halves to make the front of the house.
                                                                                                          0
Š Draw a front door and make 13 windows. Make sure that 1 2
none of the windows touch the edge of the paper.
                                                                                                   7 6 3
Š Label each window with a number 0–12.
                                                                                                   8 5 4
Š Decide which multiplication table will live in that house.

Write the name of the house on the multiplication table 9 10
on the front door. For example—House of Twos (2s). 11 12

Š Colour the corresponding product formed by the number House
on the window. For example, in the House of Twos, colour of 2s

                      the product 10(2 × 5).
