              RELATION BETWEEN DIVISION AND MULTIPLICATION

For each multiplication fact, there are two division facts.

There are 3 baskets of 6 strawberries can be shared

2 strawberries each. equally in two ways.

                          3 × 2 = 6 6 ÷ 3 = 2 6 ÷ 2 = 3

                   Multiplication Fact Division Facts

              Similarly,

                         8 × 5 = 40 7 × 5 = 35 9 × 3 = 27

                 40 ÷ 5 = 8 40 ÷ 8 = 5 35 ÷ 5 = 7 35 ÷ 7 = 5 27 ÷ 9 = 3 27 ÷ 3 = 9
