Metre
We cannot measure the length of a wall with the help of cm. So, we use metre to
measure longer lengths. In short, we write metre as m.
If we put 10 strips each of 10 cm length together, we make one metre.
10 cm 10 cm 10 cm 10 cm 10 cm 10 cm 10 cm 10 cm 10 cm 10 cm
So, 10 × 10 cm, that is, 100 cm = 1 m or 1 m = 100 cm.
