              Objective: To understand the concept of months.

              Materials required: Chart paper, coloured pencils.

              Procedure:
                     Š Write down the months of the year on the chart paper.

                     Š Ask the students of your class about the months in which their birthdays fall.

                     Š Record them on the chart paper.

                         January         February         March            April            May             June













                           July           August        September        October        november        december











                     Š Now, ask the following questions:

                     (a) How many students are having their birthdays in January?
                     (b) How many students are having their birthdays in August?

                      (c)  Which month has the most birthdays?

                     (d) Which month has the least birthdays?

                     (e) Is there any month that has no birthday?
                      (f) Do they celebrate any festival in their birthday months?
