Conversion
Kilogram into gram
To convert kilograms into grams, we multiply the number of kilograms Note
by 1000. 1 kg = 1000 g
Example 1: Convert the following into g. 1 g = 1000 mg.
(a) 9 kg (b) 4 kg
Solution: (a) 9 kg = (9 × 1000) g = 9000 g (b) 4 kg = (4 × 1000) g = 4000 g
gram into Kilogram Knowledge Desk
we use different standards of measuring weights.
To convert grams into Kilograms, we Metric system Indian system
divide the number of grams by 1000. 11 g 664 mg (approx.) 1 tola
933 g 10 mg (approx.) 1 ser (80 tola)
Example 2: Convert 8000 g into kg. 37 kg 324 g (approx.) 1 maund (40 ser) or mann
Solution: 8000 g = (8000 ÷ 1000) kg
= 8 kg 1000 8000 8 kg
Thus, 8000 g = 8 kg. 8000
0 g
