              3. Every day, Neha drinks milk two times from a bottle. The first bottle shows the milk
drunk in the morning, and the second bottle shows the milk drunk in the evening.

Find the total quantity of milk drunk by Neha on the last weekend.

              suBtraCtion of lengths

To subtract km, m and cm, follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Make two columns of m and cm and write the given lengths in appropriate columns
such that the smaller length is written below the bigger length.

Step 2: Subtract the lengths like ordinary numbers.

              Example 1: Subtract the following.

                               (a) 27 cm from 55 cm (b) 16 m from 90 m.
              Solution: (a) 4 15 (b) 8 10

                                      5 5 cm 9 0 m
                                   – 2 7 cm – 1 6 m

                                      2 8 cm 7 4 m
