A snail can crawl 30 inches in 5 minutes. If the snail crawls at this
speed in one direction, how far will it travel in 1 minute?

Division as rEpEatED subtraction

Mahi has 20 laddoos. She wants to divide them equally amongst the 4 children. She starts
by giving one laddoo to each children.

No more laddoos are left for distribution. Thus, each child gets 5 laddoos. Here, we
subtract 4, five times from 20. So, we can say that 20 ÷ 4 = 5.
Thus, division is a repeated subtraction.
