                                   Learning by Doing



              Objective: To reinforce the concept of symmetry.

              Materials required:  Thick sheet of  paper, a pair  of  scissors, colour
                                        sketch pens

              Procedure:
                     Š Take a piece of paper and fold it in half.








                     Š Draw a curve forming a part of leaf.









                     Š Cut the folded paper along the curved lines you have drawn.









                     Š Again cut the given shapes along the boundary of leaf.








                     Š Unfold the paper you have cut out.







              You will find that you have made a leaf. Make a frill using a pattern of such leaves
              and decorate your classroom.
