the number of unit squares and find the area of each of the following figures.

                    (a) (b) (c)

                5. Find the area of the following tangram figures by counting the number of
                    squares.
                    (a) 1 cm (b) 1 cm

                6. A triangular park is bounded by three roads of equal length. The
authority wants to fence it from each side of the road. Find the
required length of the fence if the length of each road is 250 m.

                7. Riya wants to put a lace around her squared shape handkerchief of
side 11 cm. Find the length of the lace she needs to buy.

                8. Gyan’s father bought a rectangular plot of length 12 m and breadth
10 m and he has to put 2 round of fence around the plot. What
is the length of the fence he needs?

                9. The perimeter of a square is 32 cm. When it is cut into halves,
we get two identical rectangles. What is the perimeter of one
                    rectangle?

Anita folded a rectangular piece of paper into halves three times to make a square. If
one side of the final square was 2 cm, what was the area of the piece of paper she
                 started with?
