Division
We know that when something is distributed equally, we say that it has been divided.
The symbol for division is ÷.
Terms related to the division are as follows:
The number which is to be divided is called the dividend.
The number by which the dividend is divided is called the divisor.
The result of division is called the quotient.
The number left over after the division is called the remainder.
The number of times the divisor is contained in the dividend.
