When we add 1 to the largest 7-digit number, that is, 9999999, we get the smallest 8-digit
number.

10000000 is the smallest 8-digit number. It is read as one crore.

read as nine crore.
99999999 is the largest 8-digit number and it is read as nine crore ninety-nine lakh ninety-
nine thousand nine hundred ninety-nine.
