                1. Multiply the following.

                    (a) 37 minutes 12 seconds by 3 (b) 6 hours 05 minutes by 3
                    (c) 8 hours 03 minutes 18 seconds by 6 (d) 7 hours 11 minutes 3 seconds by 8

                    (e) 2 weeks 5 days by 3 (f) 10 weeks 5 days 10 hours by 2

                2. divide the following.
                    (a) 15 minutes 48 seconds ÷ 3 (b) 8 hours 16 minutes ÷ 2

                    (c) 20 hours 45 minutes 30 seconds ÷ 5 (d) 4 days 15 hours 40 minutes ÷ 8

                    (e) 4 years 9 months 24 days ÷ 6

                3. Suyash rides 13 kilometres in 1 hour 56 minutes 47 seconds on a cycle. Find the time
to ride 1 kilometre, if he rides at uniform speed.

              TEmPERATURE

When we touch any hot or cold object, we can make out
which is hot and which is cold.
To find how much hot or how much cold something is,
               we need to measure it.

The measure of hotness or coldness of an object is
               known as its temperature.

The instrument which measures the temperature of My coffee is My ice cream
the object is known as thermometer. It has marking in hot. is cold.
degrees (°). There are two types of scales for measuring
temperature: Celsius scale (°C) and Fahrenheit scale (°F). Remember
°C is read as ‘degree Celsius’.
               Celsius scale

It was first used by the Swedish astronomer Anders
Celsius. In this scale, the temperature is read in degree 0 Freezing point
Celsius. The scale is divided into 100 equal divisions of 1° 10 of water (0°C)
each. The thermometer has readings from 0° Celsius (or 20
               0°C) to 100° Celsius (or 100°C). 30
