Objective: To find out the dimensions of different rectangles having the same area.
materials required: Square grid papers of 10 × 10 having each square 1 cm × 1 cm, a pencil
Procedure:
Get into the pairs.
Discuss with your partner that how many rectangles of different dimensions are possible
with same area.
Partner 1 will work on rectangle of area 24 sq. cm and Partner 2 will work on rectangle
of area 12 sq. cm.
Each partner will draw outlines of all possible rectangles on his/her respective square
grid paper.
Label the rectangles with their lengths and breadths and name them as Rectangle 1, 2
and so on.
Also, find their respective perimeters and note down the same under each rectangle.
