example 4: An average of 75 bats per day (excluding Sunday) were sold in a particular
week. How many bats were sold in all in that week?
Solution: Average = Sum of number of bats sold ÷ Number of days
Number of days = 6 (excluding Sunday)
Average = 75 bats
So, sum of number of bats sold = Average × Number of days
So, 75 × 6 = 450
Thus, 450 bats were sold in all.
