Example 8: Considering the dotted line as a mirror line, complete the following figures.

                           (a) (b)

                Solution: (a) (b)

Example 9: Draw the mirror image of the following word about the given line:

                Symmetrical Figures on Graph Paper

On a graph paper, the reflection of a figure over a line l involves flipping of the figure such that
each point of the original figure has an image on the opposite side of the line of reflection.
The image of each point will be at the same distance from the line as the original point, but on
                the other side.

For example, let us take a graph paper and draw a triangle ABC. Now draw its reflection image as
                triangle A' B' C'.

The distance of A and A'; B and B'; C and C’ are the same from the mirror line l.
                                                                     l
                                                              A A'

                                                                  B B'
                                                          C C'
                                                           Object Reflection
Example 10: Complete the figure so that resultant figure have two lines of symmetry.
