                Comparison of Angles

                Hearing the sound of baby birds, Vaidya went to the balcony and saw a nest on the tree in front
                of his house. As he observed the chicks widening their beaks to receive food from the mamma
                bird, he noticed the angle formed between their beaks. The more the chicks opened their beaks,
                the larger the angle became.


























                Now, look at the figures below. The angle at which the mouths of the crocodiles open in the given
                figures seems to be increasing from one figure to the next. But, to know the angles formed between
                the jaws in each figure, we need to first measure them and then compare them.










                Angles are usually measured in degrees.
                Comparison by Observation

                Let us compare ∠a and ∠b.





                                                    a                        b
                Wider the opening → Larger the angle

                By observing the pairs of angles of ∠a and ∠b, we can say that ∠b is larger than ∠a, that is ∠b > ∠a.
