              6.  A field in the form of a parallelogram has base 18 dam and altitude 9 dam. Find the cost of watering
                 the field at the rate of 75 paise per square metre.

                 Find the radius of the circle.
              8.  The minute hand of a circular clock is 15 cm long. How far does the tip of the minute hand move
                 in 1 hour. (Take p = 3.14)
              9.  While making a mask, Maya removed two circles of radius 3.5 cm each and a rectangle
                 of length 5 cm and breadth 1.5 cm from a circular card of radius 28 cm, as shown in the
                 adjoining figure. Find the area of the remaining mask.

             10.  The moon is about 384000 km from earth and its path around the earth is nearly circular. Find the
                 length of path described by moon in one complete revolution. (Take p = 3.14)
             11.  A rectangular park is of length 155 m and breadth 85 m. It has two roads each of width 12 m running
                 in the middle of it such that one is parallel to its length and other is parallel to its breadth. Find the
                 cost of constructing the roads at `150 per square metre.

             12.  Sabiya’s mother is making sandwiches in the morning breakfast for the whole family. She
                 bought a packet of breads from the shop. Each slice of bread is in the shape of a square with
                 side 16 cm. She diagonally cuts the bread into two halves, forming an isosceles right-angled
                 triangle.                                                                                          CASE STUDY

                 Answer the following questions:
                    (a)  What is the area of each slice of bread?

                    (b)  Find the perimeter of each slice of bread.
                    (c)  As she cut the bread diagonally, What will be the area of each of the two halves?
