The Sri Yantra is a beautiful and complex sacred geometrical shape used
for worship, devotion, and meditation. It has been in use for thousands
of years, and its origin seems unknown. The central figure is composed
of nine interlocking triangles. Every triangle is connected to the others
by common points, and this is the reason why it is so difficult to draw
correctly. Changing the size or position of one triangle often requires
changing the position of many other triangles.
During the geometrical construction of Sri Yantra, it must satisfy all of
these three characteristics:
1. Concurrency: All triple nodes meet at one point.
2. Concentricity: The centre of the innermost triangle and the enclosing
circle coincide.
3. Equilaterality: The innermost triangle is equilateral.
By using the internet explore more about the Sri Yantra and other such
geometrical shapes. And how to construct it geometrically. Take help
from your teacher to construct the Sri Yantra in your notebook.
