Example 10: Complete the given 3 × 3 magic maths fun
square with magic sum 24.
Sudoku is a numerical puzzle based
4 on logic. It consists of 9 × 9 table. It
further divides into 3 × 3 boxes. The objective
6
of the game is to fill every row, column of the
12 5 table and each box with digits 1 to 9.
Solution: Here, order = 3 and magic sum = 24 Solve the given Sudoku. And label whether it
is of level easy/medium/hard.
Since, Magic sum/constant = Order × Central
number 7 5 8 3 2
5 9 2 3
So, central number = 24 ÷ 3 = 8
3 4 6 5 7
Now, by arranging the other numbers around 7 9 5 6 3 2
the central number 8, we get the magic 3 6 9 7 1
square as follows: 6 8 2 7
11 4 9 9 1 4 8 3 5 7 6
6 8 10 3 7 1 4 9 5
5 6 7 4 2 9 1 3
7 12 5
