Young Innovators

                                                            Aarav Vijai

                                                            Aarav Vijai, an Indian innovator,
developed “Feed Ease,” a robotic arm feeder

designed to help children with cerebral palsy
and other physical disabilities eat independently.
He began the project when he was in the sixth
grade, inspired by his own experience of living

with a fractured arm, which gave him insight
into the challenges of limited mobility. Aarav
collaborated with NGOs to test and refine his
prototype, improving its stability, range of motion and usability. The final design

included a durable metal spoon and smoother movement to make feeding safer
and more comfortable. His invention not only supports children with special needs
but also promotes dignity and self-reliance. Aarav’s journey reflects how empathy
and technology can work together to make a real social impact.

                     Shubham Banerjee

Shubham Banerjee is an American innovator
who developed Braigo, a low-cost Braille
printer prototype, at the age of 12 using a Lego

Mindstorms EV3 robotics kit. After learning about
the high cost of commercial Braille printers,
he was determined to create an affordable

alternative for the visually impaired. His project
soon evolved into Braigo Labs Inc., a company
focused on accessible technology for all. In
2014, he made history as one of the youngest
entrepreneurs to receive venture capital funding from Intel Capital. Shubham’s

invention significantly reduced the cost of Braille printing, making it more accessible
to schools and individuals around the world.
