MY SMART ROBOT FRIEND

Design and create a smart robot friend that
can respond to button presses and display

Session 1: Meet and Imagine Your Robot Friend

                 Activity: Robot Design and Purpose

Task: Think of a robot that could be your friend and help you with something, such as
cheering you up or reminding you to drink water.

Draw your robot and give it a name and purpose, e.g. “HappyBot – Reminds me to smile!”

                 Skills Practiced:

                    Creativity

                    Connecting robots to everyday life

                    Labelling robot parts
                 Outcome for Session 1:

A labelled drawing of the robot, including its name and role.

Session 2: Plan Your Robot's Brain

                 Activity: Simple Robot Instructions

Task: Write 3–4 simple steps (pseudocode) showing how your robot reacts to button
                 presses, e.g.:

                 1. When Button A is pressed - Show a smile

                 2. When Button B is pressed - Scroll “Hello!”
                 3. When A+B are pressed - Show a heart

                 Skills Practiced:

                    Writing simple algorithms

                    Step-by-step thinking

                    Relating inputs to outputs
