Automatic Coin Sorting Machine
In this activity, you will create a cardboard model that automatically sorts coins based on their

size using a simple motor-based vibration system.
Materials Required:

Cardboard Battery Wires Switch DC motor

Bolt Glue stick Scissors Marker Coins

Follow the given steps to build a automatic coin sorting machine:

STEP - 1 Collect materials: battery, wires, switch, DC motor and
cardboard sheets.

STEP - 2 Connect the battery, switch and DC motor using wires to
make the circuit. Attach one bolt on the top of the motor.

STEP - 3 Make a small cardboard box to hold the circuit and fix the motor
inside it.

STEP - 4 Create four cardboard pillars and attach them to the corners
of the circuit box for support.

STEP - 5 Make a top container to drop the coins. Below it, cut three
coin-sized holes in a cardboard slide that leads to four-coin
containers placed according to coin size.

STEP - 6 Complete the structure of the project as shown in the given
image. Then, switch on the circuit. The motor vibrates the
structure and the coins slide down, sorting themselves into
the correct containers by size.
