Art and Sculpture
3D printing is also used to create artistic things as given below:
Creating sculptures: Artists use 3D printing to make
sculptures, both small and large. 3D printing allows them
to experiment with shapes and textures that would be
hard to make using traditional materials like clay or stone.
Creative designs: Artists can print 3D objects that push
the boundaries of creativity. For example, 3D printing
allows them to create objects that look like they are
floating or have very unusual shapes.
Food Industry
In food industry, 3D printing is used to print the following items:
Food: 3D printing can even be used to print food.
Chocolate, dough and even pasta can be printed into
different shapes and designs. It’s being used in some
restaurants to make customised food shapes or even
artistic food designs.
Custom candy or cake decorations: Some bakeries and
chefs use 3D printing to create custom cake toppers,
cookies and other creative food designs.
Construction and Buildings
3D printing is also being explored for use in construction and is currently under development. It is
being utilised in the following ways:
Printing houses: 3D printing is being used to print parts of houses or even entire homes. 3D
printed houses can be built much faster and cheaper
than traditional homes, making it a possible solution for
affordable housing in the future.
Architectural models: Architects use 3D printing to
create detailed models of buildings before they are
built. This helps them understand how their designs will
look and how to improve them.
Education
In education, 3D printing is used to create the following things:
Learning tools: 3D printing is used in schools to make
learning tools. For example, models of the human body,
geometric shapes and even historical landmarks can be
printed to help students learn.
