4. Output or Action: Once the signal is processed, the system may take action based on the
                     sensor's reading.
                     For example:

If a PIR sensor detects motion, the system A typical PIR sensor can
might turn on lights or send an alert. SMART detect motion up to 20 feet

If a soil moisture sensor detects dry soil, it SPARK (6 meters) in range.
may trigger an irrigation system to water the
                         plants.

                  USING TINKERCAD TO SIMULATE SENSORS

Tinkercad allows students to explore how sensors work in real robots and electronic
projects. To open Tinkercad, first open your web browser and then search for
https://www.tinkercad.com or scan the QR code. By using its Circuits feature, you
can connect components like light sensors, temperature sensors or ultrasonic sensors to the
microcontroller and see how they respond. This helps you understand how sensors collect
information from the environment and send it to the robot to make smart decisions—just like in
                  real-life robotics.

                                                         CHALLENGE CHAIN
If you wanted to measure the distance between objects using sound waves, which sensor would
you use and what changes would you make to the circuit to make it work?
