Human responsibility: The creators, developers and users of robots hold the responsibility for
ensuring their safe and ethical use. Raising awareness and setting guidelines are essential to
make sure robots are developed and operated responsibly.

Future ethical questions: As robots get smarter, we must consider whether they should follow
ethical rules and how society will change with so many robots.

                  ROBOTICS

Robotics is the branch of technology that focuses on the design, creation and operation of
robots. A robot is a machine that can carry out tasks automatically or with minimal human
intervention, often by following programmed instructions or using sensors and artificial
                  intelligence to make decisions.

                  LAWS OF ROBOTICS

The Three Laws of Robotics are a set of rules created to guide robots to behave safely and
ethically. These laws were first introduced by the science fiction author Isaac Asimov in his stories.
                  The laws are:
                  1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to
                     harm.

                  2. A robot must obey the orders given by human
beings, except where such orders would If a robot saves one life but
conflict with the First Law. endangers another, was its
                                                                                              decision ethical?
                  3. A robot must protect its own existence as long
as such protection does not conflict with the
                     First or Second Law.

                  REAL-WORLD ROBOTS

Robots are no longer just machines from science-fiction films. They are real, useful and found
in almost every part of life today. From factories to hospitals and even outer space, robots are
helping humans in new and exciting ways.

                                                    Industry

Factories use robots to build cars, assemble products and
lift heavy objects. They can repeat the same job with great
speed and accuracy, helping companies save time and reduce
                                                    mistakes.
