3D Hologram Projector from a Plastic Bottle

In this project, you’ll create a 3D hologram projector using a plastic bottle and transparent sheet. This
can be a fun way to learn about optical illusions, explore basic geometry and create your own interactive
hologram display using simple materials.
Let’s create a cool 3D hologram projector using everyday materials such as:

Plastic Bottle Scissors Ruler
Transparent plastic sheet Tape Smartphone or Tablet

To create a 3D Hologram Projector from a Plastic Bottle follow the
given steps:

STEP - 1 Get a plastic bottle, scissors, a ruler, a transparent
plastic sheet, tape and your smartphone or tablet.

STEP - 2 Cut the bottom of the plastic bottle to create a flat
surface, leaving the top intact. This will serve as the
base for your projector.

STEP - 3 Using the transparent plastic sheet, trace and cut
out one piece in the shape shown in the image (with
a straight top and curved sides). This will form the
sides of your pyramid.

STEP - 4 Tape the single piece into a 3D pyramid shape.
Ensure the base of the pyramid fits over your
smartphone or tablet screen.

STEP - 5 Place the pyramid upside down on your phone or
tablet, play a hologram video or app and watch the
3D image float inside.
