“How can a robot do that?” she wondered.

Her dad smiled and explained that robots
are special machines that can help people by

                  doing things for them.

                  Overview of Robots

A robot is a machine that can move and do
different things. Just like kiwi’s robot, they

can be taught to help us in many ways. Some
robots help in factories by building things,

some help doctors during surgeries, and some can even help clean our
                  homes.

Robots have a special brain called a computer
inside them, which tells them what to do. They

do not need to eat, sleep, or get tired like people.
They just follow the instructions they are given

                                                   and do their work carefully.

Robots can have wheels, arms, or even legs,

depending on what job they need to do. Some are
big and strong, while others are small and can fit

into tiny spaces. Robots are all around us, making life easier and more fun.

                  Robot’s Brain

Just like how our brain helps us think and move, a
robot’s brain helps it know what to do. But instead

of a real brain, a robot has a special computer
inside. This computer helps the robot understand

the instructions it is taught and follow them
                  carefully.

For example, if you want a robot to move forward,

its brain will send a message to its wheels to roll.
If you want it to pick something up, the brain tells its arms to grab it.

Without its brain, a robot would not know how to do any of these things.
