An insulator is something that stops electricity or heat from passing

through, like the towel. Plastic, rubber, and cloth are insulators. They
help protect us from getting hurt by stopping the electricity or heat from

                  reaching us.

                     • Examples of Conductors: Metal, water

                     • Examples of Insulators: Rubber, plastic, wood

Conductors help electricity flow, while insulators keep us safe by stopping
                  that flow.

                  Battery and Its Polarity

One day, Mia’s toy car stopped working.
She opened the back and saw the batteries

were missing. Mia asked her dad, “How do I
put the batteries in the right way?” Her dad

smiled and said, “Let’s talk about batteries
                  and their polarity.”

                                Define Battery and Its Polarity

A battery gives power to many things like toys, flashlights, and

even phones. It has two important parts: the positive (+) side
and the negative (-) side. These are called the battery’s polarity.
