Block-Based Programming for Micro:bit Using MakeCode IDE
Block-based programming is a fun and easy way to learn how to make
computers do what you want. With the Micro:bit, you can use a special
tool called MakeCode IDE.
In MakeCode, you can drag and drop colourful blocks that fit together
like puzzle pieces. This means you do not have to type any hard words or
commands. Each block does something special, like playing music, showing
pictures, or making lights turn on.
When you put the blocks together, you can tell the Micro:bit what to do.
For example, you can make it beep when you press a button or show a
happy face. It is exciting to see your ideas come to life right away. Block-
based programming makes learning to code fun and helps you create
amazing things with your Micro:bit.

Programming Basic with Micro:bit
One day, a girl wanted to tell her friends how she felt. She had a Micro: bit
that could show emojis on its tiny screen. She programmed it to display
a big smiley face when she felt happy. When her friends saw the smiling
emoji, they all laughed and smiled back, making the day even brighter.
