around them. A robot may have arms to move things, wheels to travel, and
even sensors like our eyes and ears to sense what is happening around
it. Robots work by using something called a “brain” (a small computer)
inside them that helps them understand and do tasks.
How Do Robots Work?
A robot has special parts like:
• Sensors: These help the robot “see” or “feel” what is around them.
• Motors: These help the robot move its parts, like wheels or arms.
• Computer Brain: The robot has a small computer inside that tells it
what to do. This is called programming.
Understanding the Concept of STA
The concept of STA in robotics stands for Sense, Think, and Act. This is
how robots work and interact with the world around them.
Humans have five sense organs:
• Eyes • Ears • Nose
• Tongue • Skin
Just like humans, robots have parts to help them
sense, think, and act:
• Eyes (cameras) • Ears (sound sensors)
• Mouth (speakers)
Robots use sensors to gather information about the world. Their cameras
take pictures, and their sensors listen to sounds.
Robots Can Help
Robots can do many different jobs. They have hands that can grab and
hold things, just like we do.
How Robots Move?
Robots move in different ways. Some use wheels, legs, or tracks like tanks.
They even have knee and hip joints that help them move like humans.
