help make sure doctors can do their job
better.

In schools and fun places:
Some robots are designed for

fun, to play games, or teach
us things.

For example, if you’ve ever seen a toy robot dog
that moves on its own or a robot that can dance

when you press a button, you’re seeing robots in
action. These robots can be fun, and they also

show us how technology works in a playful way.

Examples of Robots Around Us

Following are the examples of robots around us:

1. Vacuum Robot

• What it does: This robot moves
around your house and cleans the
floor all by itself.

• How it works: The vacuum robot has
sensors to “see” obstacles like chairs

or walls. It “thinks” about where to
go, and then its “acts” by changing

direction and continuing to clean.
