Parts of a Robot and Basic Movement

Following are some of the parts of robots:

Motor

A DC motor is a small machine that makes things

move by using electricity from a battery. It helps turn
electrical energy into movement, like making a toy

car’s wheels spin.

How does it works?

Working of a motor:

• Power from the battery: When we connect a battery, electricity goes
into the motor.

• Motor spins: The motor then starts to spin, and it can make things
move like wheels, fans, or other parts.

• Movement: This spinning movement is used to move different things.

Example

The example of a motor is:

• Toy cars: The little wheels on a toy car spin when the motor inside gets

power from a battery, making the car drive forward.

Connectors

Connectors are important pieces that help connect
different parts of an electronic project. They let

electricity flow between parts like motors, lights,
and wires, making sure everything works together.

In construction kits, connectors help students

easily snap pieces together, just like building

blocks.
