Example of a Pulley System

Let's discuss pulley system with the help of an

example:

• Flagpole: When you want
to raise a flag, you pull the

rope down, and the flag

goes up. The pulley on the top of the flagpole makes this
easier by changing the direction of your pulling force.

How It Works?

Working of pulley system:

• Effort: You pull one end of the rope.

• Load: The heavy object (like a flag or bucket) on

the other end goes up when you pull.

The pulley system helps by making heavy things feel
lighter and easier to move.
