• Patterns: Students explore how turning on specific LEDs can create
patterns, like a diamond.
Observation
Students will observe the Micro:bit displaying a diamond pattern on its
display. They will notice that when specific coordinates are programmed
to light up, the diamond shape appears. Students can also observe how
changing the sequence of the lights creates different patterns. They will
also notice that using loops in code can help animate the diamond, making
it blink or move.
Application
Digital Displays: This activity shows
students how patterns and shapes can be
created with lights, like how digital billboards
or scoreboards display numbers, words, or
symbols using lights.
