A swing moving back and forth or a clock’s
                  pendulum are examples of repetitive

motion. The movement repeats in the
same path, whether it’s back and forth or

up and down. Machines that use repetitive
motion, like sewing machines or windscreen
wipers, rely on this consistent action to

                  perform tasks efficiently.

Repetitive motion happens because of the
forces acting on the object. Once a force starts the motion, it can continue,
sometimes with help from gravity or other forces.
